I discovered my love for interior design when my husband and I bought our first home. As I embarked on the process of furnishing the space, I quickly realized just how exciting design could be. I loved that there were endless possibilities with so many different directions to go. Within several years I had changed my career and launched Distinctive Interiors.
While my design aesthetic has evolved over time, many aspects of my approach remain the same. I always have enjoyed adding bold pops of color where I can. With that, I love mixing and matching patterns, and incorporating multiple textures and finishes. I believe the balance between hard and soft, large and small scales is something that can truly bring a space together.
As a designer, I cannot express how important the communication part of the process is. Understanding the client’s aesthetic, getting to the heart of what they want to accomplish, these are all really important parts of the journey. My goal is to always deliver a space that homeowner will LOVE to live in, and will far exceed their expectations.
